Just Kidding — Grace Edition

• Grace started back to school in September. It was an adjustment to have her gone the whole day instead of just until lunch time. Caleb really missed her and wondered why she was not coming home to eat and play with him. Grace still enjoys school and loves to teach us what she is learning.
• Grace loves playing soccer. She is really running around when she plays. She has already scored a goal this season. I love to yell for her and her teammates to keep going.
• She has lately been eating us out of house and home. She usually puts on weight and then rockets up. We should see the growth spurt soon.
• Grace wants to be an artist or a scientist when she grows up. Or at least that is what she says when you ask her.
• Grace has dealt with death more than any child should. She has been to more funerals, wakes, or memorial services than she has had birthdays. A little girl she knew passed away recently. It is hard to watch her struggle with the idea of death when it is someone her age. The worst part was that I could guess how she would respond after watching her struggle with Robert's death. She asked questions, drew pictures, and wondered about questions from which I had hoped to shield her.
• Aunt Rachel got married last weekend and Grace was a flower girl. She loved dressing up and dancing. She and her cousin Emily worked on a dance routine for the two of them. It was adorable.
• We visited with most of our family this summer. It was great to watch Grace with her cousins. She really had a great time with all of them. Maybe I should post about our summer at some point in time.
